Reading
gives incomparable pleasure to the readers. While there is no doubt about the
fact that reading is a priceless activity, it has been observed that the habit
of reading has declined of late. In an endeavour to kindle the love for reading
in the students’ hearts, D.L.DAV Model School, Pitampura celebrated
the Book Week in the school premises.
The ‘Book Week’ started with a storytelling session taken up by Ms. Neelam Narang, a famous storyteller .

Nie activity related to Maths was done in the class. The students enjoyed solving the questions.

The activity was based on topics related to Social Studies. The activity not only helped to enhance the vocabulary of the students but also helped them to understand new topics .

A short power point presentation on the life and achievements of the great leader Indira Gandhi was
shown to the students.

Model School, Pitampura organized Talentica, a talent hunt extravaganza for
students to showcase their talent in the field of dance,
music, theatre, cooking etc. The event
saw incredible and amazing performances of students. Parents were invited as jury members to judge
the events .

Junk food should not be allowed in the school premises
The students of class V expressed their view on the above topic. The main aim was to acquaint the students with the benefit of eating healthy food and why they should avoid eating junk food.
COLLAGE MAKING ACTIVITY

The students of all the classes made collage on various states of India.Students were
divided into groups and were given different states.They collected information about the states and pasted the information on A4 size colored sheets.
