SPREADING AWARENESS ON THE OCCASION OF DIWALI

A power point presentation was show on the reasons why Diwali is celebrated. Why we sould join hands to celebrate an eco friendly Diwali. What are the ill effects of bursting crackers.
It included questionnaire on 3 different topics namely 1.Air pollution- its major causes ,harmful effects and steps taken by Delhi govt to reduce air pollution
2.Resistance to common antibiotics rising among patients in india- definition of antibiotics, discovery and uses of antibiotics.
3.Paleolithic life- 1st Neanderthal activity found on Greek island, Anthropology, Homonins

GANDHI JAYANTI 2019 – 150TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF BAPU
Gandhi Jayanti 2019 was celebrated all over the country on 2nd of October.
A short power point presentation was shown to the students on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
They came to know about the life and the achievements of the great leader .

"Astronomy compels the soul to look upward, and leads us from this world to another."
A hands-on astronomy workshop was conducted in our school premises for the students of Astronomy Club . It was an innovative workshop that evoked a lot of excitement among the students as well as parents. It was quite encouraging that parents also turned up to enjoy the session. They got a chance to observe the celestial objects.It was indeed an exhilarating experience to observe the positions of stars and planets in the sky

The activity helped to develop team spirit and coordination among the students. They learnt to play in groups.

With the help of Atlas, the students marked sobriquets of India on the political map of India
PRIMARY PLUS /NIE ACTIVITY
CLASSES - IV-VI
DATE : 11.10.19
A Short comprehension passage on the life of Gandhi ji was done in class V.
The students also solved the related question and answers. The activity was enjoyed by all.
In class IV the students searched adjectives, prepositions and verbs from a given passage . They also shared their experienced regarding how they had spent their last vacation.
In class VI the students gathered information about the missiles which have been launched, from the newspaper .
LIFE SKILLS
CLASSES : IV -VI
DATE : 22.10.19
Life skill activities were conducted in classes IV -VI on various themes.
Class IV : Topic....Motivation...Focus was on how self motivation brings miracles in one's life.
Class V : Peer Pressure
Ø Peer pressure is a part of life.
Ø Peer pressure can be negative or positive.
Ø Acting due to negative peer pressure can often have detrimental
consequences for one’s life.
Ø Acting on positive peer pressure can lead to self-improvement and better
performance.

PRIMARY PLUS ACTIVITY
CLASS - V
DATE : 24.10.19
The students enjoyed doing activities related to Homophones. They also read a short passage on Alexander Grahambell. They underlined and also solved a puzzle related to Homophones.

A power point presentation was show on the reasons why Diwali is celebrated. Why we sould join hands to celebrate an eco friendly Diwali. What are the ill effects of bursting crackers.
On the occasion of Diwali,the council members of class VI took initiative to motivate all the
students to celebrate Diwali in an ecofriendly way...and for a noble cause..
They went to each classroom and discussed some tips with the students regarding this .
1.no crackers to stop pollution
2.a visit to orphanage..old age home
3.saving electricity
4.donations to needy
5.stop noise pollution
a concern for animals
Thereafter all the students took a pledge to celebrate Diwali 2019 with compassion n care for all.
NIE ACTIVITY

The greatness of a culture can be found in its festivals
Nothing brings people together like festivals do. They play a pivotal role in nation-building; bringing people from every religious, economic and social background together.
Students need to be taught to embrace and respect other traditions
and cultures, which in turn give them a deeper understanding of the world around them….. a world without boundaries.The students participated with full zeal and enthusiasm. The presentations included short skit , a poem and dance performances depicting various festivals of India.
The performance was highly appreciated by all.

This activity not only enhanced their knowledge about the great leader Sardar Patel but also developed the quality of team work and coordination amongst the students. The activity was based on completing the information related to Vallabhbhai Patel.
