MESSAGE BY MADAM PRINCIPAL

Dear Students

We are on the verge of creating history. I am proud of you for displaying solidarity and unity in fighting an ordeal never witnessed before.

We may not be physically together in this fight but the bonds of love, loyalty and commitment for a common cause and institution binds us in our thoughts and deeds.

Dear Children, I am confident that small and young as you are, you are serious about your responsibilities as a citizen of the country.

The school which would soon have been reverberating with the sounds of your laughter, stands deserted. We miss you and miss being with you.Yet we have not stopped working for you.

I am overwhelmed by the response that the teachers are getting by your participation in on line lessons and e lessons that they are posting for you. You have upheld my faith and trust in you and I can hold my head high and say ,' You are my children.'

Dear Children, the isolation and confinement that we are all subjected to can be used constructively. I urge you to tap your inner reservoir of talent, innovation and creativity, be it art, craft, dance, music, instrumental, reading, cooking or any other. Send me short clippings of your creation at dldavpp@ yahoo,co,in (with the resources that you have at home). Come out with articles on your views and experiences, posters on the pandemic, poems, recipes or perhaps how you helped parents or elders at home.

I look forward to being in touch with you knowing very well that you and all of us are together in waging this war against the deadly virus.

Be happy, Be safe and Be at home.Principal

Celebrating 40th Foundation Day- A Saga of Excellence
 DATE - 11.4.2020
Heartiest Congratulations on the occasion of the 40th Foundation Day of the school. It's a special day set aside to reminiscence and honour its establishment and to reaffirm it's pledge of sending forth every student out of the school portals equipped with knowledge and character. I pay rich tributes to Shri Darbari Lalji, Founder and Mrs S. L. Makhija, Founder Principal for their commitment, resilience and dedication to see their vision come to reality.
Today when half the world has shut down its working due to the attack of a microbe, we restate our belief in our core values - of service, of excellence, of innovation, of courage to take an  unprecedented lead in formidable and challenging times.
The school has set a high bar. The drive for perfection permeates deeply the school culture. On the auspicious occasion of its foundation day, we pledge to uphold, reinforce and enhance the traditions of this fine progressive school. We revisit it's glorious history and connect with its continuing odyssey. We celebrate the joy of learning as we develop in mind, body and spirit and persist to challenge ourselves with high expectations.
40 years is a long journey of setting milestones and rooting landmarks, of moulding and shaping thousands of alumni modelling and demonstrating DAV values through quality leadership across the globe.
My sincere gratitude to the Management for its guidance and direction, thanks to my entire staff for their professionalism and dedication in building a solid foundation of the school, thanks to all parents for their continued support and encouragement, my alumni for their strong bonding and impressive contribution in school endeavours and last but not the least my dear students for their diligent work and engagement in school pursuits.
I humbly reflect on the growth of the school over the last 40 years and  wish for a glorious bright future ahead.

EARTH DAY CELEBRATION AT D.L.DAV MODEL SCHOOL PITAMPURA

I am the Earth
And the Earth is me.
Each blade of grass,
Each honey tree,
Each bit of mud,
And stick and stone
Is blood and muscle,
Skin and bone.
And just as I
Need every bit
Of me to make
My body fit,
So Earth needs
Grass and stone and tree
And things that grow here
Naturally.
That’s why we
Celebrate this day.
That’s why across
The world we say:
As long as life,
As dear, as free,
I am the Earth
And the Earth is me.

ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED:

The students participated with full zeal and enthusiasm. They made posters which left all of us awe struck.
