MONTH OF APRIL 2022

                                                                             

Keeping in tune with the tradition of Arya Samaj, Hawan was performed  by the students of Class VI ON 6th April 2022 in the school premises . Children chanted the Hawan mantras and performed the Hawan with Madam Principal and  their teachers.

HEALTH DAY ACTIVITY

With a view to familiarize the children with the most recent theme taken up by World Health Organization for the year 2022, which is “OUR PLANET, OUR HEALTH” and encourage them all to be health enthusiasts, Health Day was celebrated in the school for classes IV-VI with full gusto.

Foundation Day  is a day set aside to celebrate our history and revisit and reconnect with the continuing journey of the school.  The desire and determination to go hand in hand  to attain excellence and accomplish our goals is the foundation that will stand the test of time.

DL D.A.V Model School Pitampura celebrated its 42nd  Foundation Day with great  verve and fervor.

Jallianwala Bagh massacre

The Jallianwala Bagh massacre, also known as the Amritsar massacre, took place on 13 April 1919.

To acquaint the students with the facts about the massacre a short presentation was shown to the students.

Respect, the courteous regard for others, is a very important life skill to have. It is the common courtesy that everyone is expected to give one another. Respect is a very important foundational factor in the development and maintenance of a healthy learning environment.                              WORLD HERITAGE DAY - 2022

The World Heritage Day 2022 theme is 'Heritage and Climate' to promote conservation research and employ sustainable strategies to protect heritage sites. It is decided by the International Council on Monuments and Sites every year. The students were shown a short presentation on World Heritage Day.

MAHATMA HANSRAJ DIWAS

A short power point presentation on the life and achievements of Hansraj ji was shown to the students. A myriad of activities were conducted in which the students dressed up as Mahatma Hansraj and also sang bhajans  . Some of them also spoke on the sayings of the great personality.

They came to know about the life  , achievements and preaching's of Mahatma Hansraj.

                                                                              

                                                                                        

INVESTITURE CEREMONY

D.L.D.A.V Model School Pitampura, held the Investiture Ceremony for the newly appointed Student Council members of Junior School on 20.4. 2022 .

 Investiture Ceremony is the most awaited ceremony of the year as it signifies the confidence that the school places in the newly invested appointees. 

The event commenced with the welcome address by Madam Principal Ms. Seema Aggarwal , who appreciated all the students for giving their best to prove their mettle. In her address congratulated the members of the Student Council and motivated them to embrace their responsibilities with utmost compassion and empathy towards everyone.

22nd April, Earth Day, which was observed at DLDAV Pitampura, is about appreciating the uniqueness of our planet Earth, while at the same time, educating ourselves about what we have and what we are losing by acting in ways that aren’t environmentally friendly.  A myriad of activities were conducted in the classes to sensitize the students about the global concerns. Teachers  added the finishing touch by addressing the students emphasizing the importance of afforestation, planting of trees and the need for everyone to put together their efforts and get into action, in protecting our environment.
